Looking for scripts

To audio scriptwriters:

I am prepared to offer money for radio play scripts. I work for a public radio station that is embarking on a small scale radio theater project. We are going to produce an anthology of stories to be broadcast on our station, as well as to put up on download sites for national distribution. These sites include Pacifica's audioport and Public Radio Exchange (PRX). They will also be streaming from our website. This is a completely non-commercial project. None of the produced plays will be sold for commercial purposes.  So the scripts will be the property of KSVR exclusively.

Here is the outline of the project.

1) The scripts will be adapted from a public domain story available on Project Gutenberg, either chosen by the scriptwriter, the series producer or both.

2) Scripts will be 14 or 27 minutes, not including theme intros and outros.

3) The scriptwriter will have two weeks to turn in the first draft after the go ahead, then two weeks for revisions after submission.

4) The scriptwriter will be paid on completion of the script and approval of the series producer. The payouts will be $50 for a 14 minute script and $100 for a 27 minute script. We have a scriptwriting budget of $1,000.

5) The scriptwriter will use the free scriptwriting program, celtx, available at www.celtx.com, to write the script.

6) You will have be given proper credit for your work and a copy of the produced play.

7) The scriptwriter must reside in the USA. We can't pay out to citizen in another country.

I have gone into great detail so any scriptwriter will know exactly what we need. We hope to produce 10 programs for broadcast in the fall 2011.

Thank you for your time.

In the works.

Here are the radio plays I am producing at this time.

For Imagination Station I adapted The Wonderful Wizard of Oz as a 6 part 8-10 minute per episode serial. I am not much of a real writer, but I have found that I can adapt public domain material pretty well. I just download the stories from Project Gutenberg and reference the work. Copying and pasting dialogue where appropriate. It is almost finished.

For my project in production I am adapting Baroness Orczy's Lady Molly of Scotland Yard short stories. At least 4 of them. I am at the dialogue track stage.

I am in the process of adapting Pigs is Pigs. In the writing stage.
